Trek Day 3 (My Favorite)

This is Valerie and I in the morning.  Don't try too hard to see me, you might go blind in the sun.

The Blue family is ready to start day 2.  We are trekking a total of 7 miles today.

The Red team is also ready to go.

Valerie and Darren carry the teal rock baby.

Chad is helping our team get the handcart over the narrow bridge.

A rare photo of me with my family.

We had to stop and wait for the group ahead of us.  I guess we were too fast.

We had a quiet moment to remember the four men who risked their lives in helping the pioneers cross the Sweetwater river.

Chad looks like he is doing the chicken dance.

This was our first destination of the day.  Martin's cove is an amazing place and there is no way a picture can capture anything.

Chad spend a lot of time holding my hand.

The blue Family pulling up to Martin's Cove Parking. Ma is missing again.

Hannah (Katie's best friend) is showing off Jacob's ladder.

As we silently walked up to the cove, we thought about the pioneer we were trekking for.

It was rare that we were able spend any time with Katie.  I love this picture of Katie and Dad.

We reverently sang while people continued to file into the Amphitheatre.  The missionaries told us about some of the amazing stories.

Part of the view walking through the cove.

Looking back from the Amphitheatre.
It was really hot but, I wish we had more time to take in the feelings we were having.

Another view from the cove.

Look, Mom with Katie.

We begged for a picture of our biological Family.

We are a cute family.

This is my favorite picture of Katie.  She is with her "sister" Heather.
