End of the School year Accomplishments

The school year is over and all of my kids accomplished something great.

Katie has a 4.0 for the whole year.  Chad is regretting his promise to buy her a computer or and I-pod touch.  He did not think she would keep her grades up.

Kinsey had perfect attendance for the whole year.  Third graders win a bike if they have the perfect attendance as well as reading 110 words per minute.  She is going to a reception on June 1st to get her bike.  Look for further pictures.

Macie also had perfect attendance for the whole year.  She got a free happy meal.  She also met Vin Crosby, the meteorologist for Channel 2 news.

Mya graduated from preschool and will be headed to kindergarten next year.

Evan is diaper free.  He has been potty trained for a whole month.

Katie has two more awards

Last night we went to an awards ceremony at the middle school.  Katie received two awards.  The first was hardest working 7th grader in Language Arts.  The second was hardest working 7th grader in Performing Arts. We are proud of her.

Mya graduates Preschool

She looks so cute in her hat but did not leave it on. I am glad I snapped this when I did

Mya with Teacher Ann.

Mya with Teacher Leslie.

The graduation was short and sweet.  They sang two songs and handed out certificates.  Mya had a hard time sitting with the group once she saw us.

Parade

The parade started with the flags and the military band.

Mya was worried that the "bug get you" would get too close.

This is Columbia High School Band.  This will be Katie next year.

The puppets were fun for the kids to see. Kinsey said never trust a puppet.

Evan had a great time until he decided he was hungry and wanted to go home.

Honestly, who drives a shoe.  Isn't Chad clever with his comments?

Chad needed this picture.  There was another dressed in blue and they had no faces.

Evan and Mya loved the fire trucks until they got too noisy.

The only horses in the Parade were the trick riders.  You can barely see the lasso.

Katie's award

The Womens Century Club held a contest for art, short stories and poetry.  Katie entered a short story and a poem.  She loves to write and the story she entered was one she wrote the night before the deadline.  The poem was one she wrote last summer.  She came home with this 2nd place ribbon, this certificate and $5.00 for her short story. I am so proud of her.

Like Father Like Son

My boys are too much alike.  They sure make me laugh.

Donny and Marie

I took Evan to Wal-Mart today and we had Donny and Marie Osmond sign their new CD. They were not allowing pictures with them and hurrying people through the line but I was able to get this quick picture.  Marie told me I had a beautiful name (thank you mom).
